P.J. Says:
Fred revolutionised television with his one hour dance specials. This is the
first one, and it is simply terrific. It won a record nine emmy awards! It has
great music and banter, lots of wonderful dancing by Fred, Barrie and the Hermes
Pan dancers. incredible music from the Jonah Jones Quartet, and when all the
above combine, such as on "St. James Infirmary"- wow! What an
incredible routine. Barrie Chase is so powerful and lithe that you wish she had
been around earlier for Fred to make lots of movies with her. They are simply
terrific. Hunt down the video and watch it over and over again.
