The Fifth Annual (Well, Sort of) Fred Quiz

Welcome to the Fifth Annual Fred quiz!

How to play:

Answer all the questions with names of Fred Astaire musicals (a complete list). Each musical appears only once. Each answer gives part of the clue for the next movie; as long as you keep answering correctly, you will have an accurate clue for the next question- but if you answer wrongly, watch out! You may go irreversibly off track!

The contest starts on 1200 GMT (0700 EST), 10 May 2007 and ends on 1200 GMT (0700 EST), 31 May 2007.

Scoring:

You get one point for each correct answer, plus five points for the final bonus question. The winner is the person with the most points. In the event of a tie, the person who sent in their answer earlier wins. Members of the Fred Quiz Hall of Fame (we mean YOU, Terry P!) can still enter but are not eligible for the prize.

If someone discovers a set of answers which fits but is different from mine, it will still count, but I'll have to verify its accuracy first. In any event, I reserve the right to throw out everything and unilaterally declare a winner. I probably won't, but I say this just in case everything goes pear shaped and I don't want to get sued!

Prize:

The DVD to The Belle of New York, to be released 24 July 2007, or any other Fred Astaire DVD of your choice, cost not to exceed US$20 on Amazon.com.

UPDATE: The quiz was won by Dermot B, of Ireland. Congratulations, Dermot, and a big thank you to everyone who took part!
